Boundary Wire:

The continuous-loop wire carries the coded radio signal around the perimeter of your property. This signal has a range control and can be used to keep animals in or out of an area.
The wire is a special heavy duty, high quality type and can be buried below ground or laid on the surface.
All splices are soldered and encased in a sealed, liquid-tight heat- shrink.

The Transmitter:

This should be installed in a garage, basement or outbuilding close to a 110volt electrical outlet. It comes with a surge protector (for lightening) and an optional battery backup in case of power failure.

The mode, rate and range adjustments are on the transmitter which also has indicator lights and an audible warning (if the boundary wire is broken or the signal interrupted).

The Receiver:

This is worn by the dog on an adjustable nylon collar. It is waterproof and chew-resistant.
The receiver identifies the coded radio signal from the boundary wire and creates an audible warning followed by electrical stimulation if your pet comes close to the wire.

The AutoMemory™ feature on both the R7 and R8 receivers constantly monitors and, when necessary, adjusts the training level.
The FastReact™ feature offers the fastest reaction time if your dog challenges the boundary.

The collar should be snug, not tight, and it is recommended you remove it when your dog or cat is inside.

Batteries:

The R8 receiver is powered by a 3.6 volt lithium battery which is designed to last for two years.

( Competetive pet fence brands require seven or eight batteries for the same time period.)

Testing and Settings:

The test light magnet allows you to test the receiver as well as make adjustments to the 6 training levels. All the settings are designed to be Pet Friendly™ and will not hurt your pet in any way.

The system will shut down automatically after 15 seconds if your dog or cat is caught in the signal field.

Safelink FM digital technology allows the DogWatch receiver to recognize and activate only to the unique DogWatch radio signal. This protects your pet from false activation caused by household and other electronic devices.
